Is this a fair price for SS counter tops?

A local metal fab shop quoted me $355 for a 16gauge stainless steel countertop for my workbench that's 9'x28" with a 4" backsplash and a rolled front edge that's 1.5" high plus an additional return on the bottom to keep from getting cut on the edge. Is this a fair price?

From stainless drip trays I have had fabbed up, that does not sound out of line for 16 gage. The material itself is not cheap. Are you getting end caps welded on it, or leaving it open ended? Be sure to specify the finish you want, brushed or mill finish. Look at a sample of the metal first, so you won't :( later. T304 is usually more or less the welded/fabricated grade.

Thanks for the replies. I'll verify the finish. Any pics of the various types of finishes though?

It was open ended and not capped. I know it'll cost a bit more, but how much I don't know.
