Is this a genuine snap on box?

So I am looking at this box:

snaponp.jpg

The seller says it's a Snap On, and is less than a year old. He also says it's full of tools from Snap On, Kobalt, Craftsman and Cornwell.

He's wanting $2,000 for it. Before I make the trip to go take a look at it, can you tell me if it's a real Snap On?

Do you think it's worth the money?

Thanks :bounce:

Definitely a crappy pic... I am considering going out to see the box later this week.

Anything I should look for to tell if it's legit snap on? How do I tell what the tools are worth?

Ok I talked to the seller, and he says that only some of the tools are snap on. The box is apparently an "International".

Internationals aren't bad boxes, a friend of mine has one. Actually that lower roll cab looks to be the same one he has except color. They're really shallow drawers though. Not worth $2k IMO.

You can get the boxes new with a full size side cabinet for less than 2,000. So if the tools aren't all that then I'd pass. (not that it's a bad box but I would buy it new myself if I had that cash available).

Check out strictlytoolboxes.com for a nice Montezuma set or Qualitytoolsforless which has the international set for $1824.99 shipped!

no, and if it even were a KRA snap-on that it resembles, it would not be worth $1,200 for just the box. Better be some great tools in there!

International are decent boxes and most are domestic made, but comparing an International to a SO is like comparing a Malibu to a Cadillac. (I know it's an old post), but the box might be worth $900 used if it's in near mint condition. But even that is no bargain. Then it becomes a question of if the tools in it were worth $1100+.
