Is this a good deal on an M12 driver?

Looking to get an M12 impact driver. I currently have all M18 stuff but think the lighter weight and less bulk is very appealing. Saw this deal on Home Depot. Is this worth jumping on or should I hold off for Black Friday? I like that it has 3 batteries which makes adding additional bare tools easier down the line

How invested are you in M12

The Fuel (brushless) stuff in better than the non Fuel line, and the two batteries alone are worth over a C note... cripes just the 6AH XC is a C Note

If you needed the driver ( I have 2, one is used in the shop with a 3/8 adapter and it gets beat on daily) buy it because the tool is just about free after the cost of the batteries and charger,

Then get the M12 3/8 or 1/2 stubby impact wrench and use the 6AH battery with it.

I don’t have any M12 (yet). Have a bunch of M18 but my M18 driver with a 5.0 battery is real heavy and bulky for the smaller jobs and intend to have more small stuff than big

the M12 3/8 stubby is nice with a 4AH battery ( I have one at home) and I have a M12 stubby 1/2 drive at the shop I bought to put tires on ( I torque everything I didn't want to use the air gun putting lugs back on) and the guy I work with has been using it for everything and beating the **** out of it.... and it is still going strong after a year plus....

With a 6AH battery you'll have more than enough power to run it

If you get that kit with those batteries you are well on your way to being to buy M12 stuff, I own more M12 than M18 and none of it has disappointed me

I'd call it a good deal. Can't say it won't ever be cheaper, but I'd feel fine buying at that price.
Definitely get fuel. I have the non fuel driver and drill and they **** for anything that needs the beans

If I was dabbling into M12 today I would want a few more tools to get started. I would opt for the 3 piece set on sale at HD. I rarely have a need for a hammer drill, but a lightweight drill is very handy. The ratchet also finds lots of uses.

I swapped my common use drill and impact driver (surge) for M12. I love the smaller size and the power is fine for most jobs. The M12 Surge impact is one of my favorite tools, it doesn’t struggle with 4” 5/16” lags. I haven’t sold my M18 drill and surge yet, but it’s happening soon.

I got the OP driver with stubby impact with 2.0 and 4.0 batteries in a kit from Summit racing for $320 after they price matched an online retailer. 0 regrets. Also shop around a lot of you want protective boots. Most are seriously overpriced
