Is this a good deal?? (Welder)

Im kinda new to welding, but have been taking a Mig class at the local Comm College and wanted to purchase a Mig Setup. I seen a Millermatic 175 with cart and bottle on Craigslist for $275. Dude says no problems with it. I was really wanting the 211 but that setup would cost 4-5 times more for a similar setup....What do all you metal burners think?????

That sounds like a very good deal to me. Try it before you buy it. That is a little older unit (like 5 years or so) but still very good. Unless you really wanted the multivotage plug, a 211 wouldn't really out weld this one, maybe an 1/8". Millers are hands down the best.

I wonder why it is so cheap. I haven't see one of those for under $500. If it works get it.

Ok so I guess its a good deal lol. I'll see if the guy still has it tommorrow. Whats the best way to inspect a used welder, other than trying it out of course. Anything specific to look for???
