I have no idea on the worth but I would think that if your having to build for inspection that you would want the drawing package and engineering data to get a permit if needed. I would also base value somewhat on if the manufacture is still in business and able to work with you if questions or problems arise.

Getting drawings is very important if one lives where permits are required, as not going to get very far without them. No permit required, less of a problem.
Edit: In the County I live in, (Butte) they used to allow owners of 5 acres & larger to get a AG permit for buildings, no inspections or plans just pay em & build it but they changed it when it was decided it did not conform to State law, that is the only way around here that a engineered steel building could have been erected w/o plans, or just put it up.
