I have the larger 7" version & have had no issues with it.

I personally like Hitachi tools, with the exception of a corded 3/8" drill I bought about a year ago, the chuck wobbled & would not drill a hole....but the grinders & cordless drills have never given me any problems.

$40 is a great deal in my opinion.....but I would pick it up from amazon.....same price w/free shipping.

i have one i've been abusing for 2 or 3 years.

The only thing that would concern me is the 6 amp motor. I have a 7.5 amp grinder and I can stall it out if I get too exuberant with it. If you can live with that, then you should be good to go.
