Decent deal; I think they were $20 last year. They may not be available much longer, and those are darn good pry bars for the money. I'd grab them.

I got a set a couple years ago and they are surprisingly strong. I was in Sears today and noticed they eliminated the striking caps. That said, I would jump on them at that price.

I bought the set 2 weeks ago. When I went to pick it up, I was given a set without strike cups. "made in India", substantially thinner and lower quality. I raised the issue, luckily they were able to find a set that I ordered.

Those are one of those tools (ok technically 3 tools) that I bought because from this forum.
Someone posted a good deal on them and I jumped on it.
Now I use them A LOT.
Not sure why I got by so long without a hood set of pry bars. Guess I never really thought about needing them, but now that they’re in a drawer, they are very very appreciated.

I agree. Id get them. I have the red handled Wilde branded bars without strike caps. Top notch bars. Been thinking about these myself as another set for another kit, checked them out recently at a local hometown store. Nice bars

sorry to say, but yes they are. i have seen the hyper tough and the cman version in person. they come from the same place and my guess is made in usa wilde.

it may be a **** shoot what cman version you find in store but those two are identical other than cosmetic branding.

The older Craftsman Pro were rebadged Mayhew models and are even better but I believe they have been out of SEARS stores for a few years now.

I would be careful here. I have a 36" Tekton one and Craftsman for all the smaller sizes and they are not identical. The Craftsman ones have more of a curve to them at the end when compared to the Tekton ones.

I will admit that I haven't picked up the Wal-Mart version in a year or two, so maybe something has changed. Or maybe just very mistaken..

But I have used the craftsmans, and thought the Wal-Mart bars were the same back when I first saw that familiar handle shape at WM.. But under closer inspection, the handle material was different and the shape of the working ends were poorly shaped and with less curve.

It reminded me of the Chinese craftsman copies of the original USA Wilde bars of old(which I use daily, both Wilde and CMusa)

Maybe they were not the same bars that Wal-Mart is selling now. Maybe they were just very very poor examples. Maybe they are made to much lower spec. Don't know. I do know that the bars I handled made me laugh and I never looked at them again. Could have been a fluke. I don't remember the coo on the packaging I handled, but I know I looked lol and seeing that the prices for Wilde branded bars are little, or no more expensive, it matters none.

I bought my set of red and black professionals in 2014, it was the last set they had on the shelf in Hammond La. I haven't seen any since, mainly because sears are harder to find than a MAC truck. Shame really because they are a wonderful prybars.

I checked out the Wal-Mart bars. I retract my statement, they are the "same", or at least very similar. The bend at the working end is odd, and the chisel flared end is very poorly stamped and uneven. Handle is a slightly different red than the CM.

They are slightly different than a few years ago, and now in three sizes. And packaged point up instead of handle up in the past.

I've never seen the USA craftsman bars misshapen, or Wilde branded bars misshapen, but I have seen the china CM bars look just like these, poorly made.

Rebadged, to me, means the same exact product with a different name. I'm not sure these I would consider rebadged.

Id buy the CM bars.

I did order three Wilde from hje a few months back and the short one the bar fell out out of the handle just when I hung it on the rack. So maybe Wilde had a bad batch or something but the hyper tough pry bars at my Walmart seem identical to my Wilde bars.

So I went ahead and got another set for one of my sons.
$24 for set of 3

A Sears Hometown store about an hour from me showed these and a couple of the 1/2" torque wrenches in stock.

My boys were skiing close to there so I drove up to buy both. The pry bars had red handles but no strike plate and seemed cheap. The torque wrenches were 3/8". Left empty handed.

That's a good deal those are the ones made by Wilde which are the same as the ones sold at Walmart I under the hyper tech brand. Handles are the same as the Wilde except I believe the plastic is slightly different on the private label versions. If you care about the printed words they are not chemical resistant and even small amounts will distort things.
