I'm wanting to control the over head light with one switch, the wall lights with another switch, I also need a GFCI outlet that is constant powered all fed from a single wire. Does this pass muster? Or am I making this way to complicated? Keith

Where are you having the switches,and yes you are making it more complicated lol. Are you having different locations for switches and outlet or all one location,where's the power coming from.

Im using a double switch in a single box. I will try to post a practical layout of the room later. Here is the basic layout, power comes in on the back wall, 2 wall lights on same wall. Overhead light on the ceiling, duh. Dual switches on the front wall. Single GFCI on the right hand wall far from dual switch, near the wall lights. Keith

Basically correct.

You are running power from the source (top left) all the way through to the GFCI outlet and the switched to the overhead light.

It is difficult to tell from your drawing which wires will be in the same conduit/sheath. Color codes are for humans not electricity. If you are going to use a white wire to feed power to the switch at the bottom left, I strongly suggest that you put a piece of black tape around both ends of it; at the switch and at the junction with the black wire.

To make it a little simpler, you want to run your feed into the switch box or the gfi outlet box,whichever is closer, gfi the wires go on the line side. The switches you just need to run a 2 wire to each light, if you have two lights on same switch then you would run from the switch to first light, then from first light to second light. In the switch box you would have the hot from your feed(black), add two tails off of it with wirenut, one tail for each switch. All the whites in the switch box get spliced together and pushed in the back of box, grounds go together with two tails for switches, what you have left is two black wires from the lights so each black would go on one switch and the feed tails on the other screw of the switch. There's no need to run a 3 wire if you can daisy chain the feeds through the switch boxes.

Edit, I saw your using a double switch so it's all the same except the tails for feed, you only need one for the double switch.

..... just at glanced.
the first drawing i see the one outlet gets hot wire twice. and left switch powers 2 lights.

the second drawing
the left switch powers middle light but only white wire/neutral ? wire goes into the left light ? so it won't operate at all.

I'm seeing it as the far right overhead light has it's own switch and will work. The outlet also looks fine and it's second screw is what will feed that overhead light near it. The bottom left switch is only controlling the middle wall light. The upper left wall light only has neutral and will be non-functional.

Edit - I think you are not supposed to use the second screw on a GFCI outlet though so you may have to pigtail on the hot at the outlet just ahead of the outlet.

The second screw on the gfci is the downstream hot which you would use for outlets but not lights. You don't want you lights going out if you pop the gfci.
