Is this a real Matco Top Box?

These are the only pictures he sent me. I know of course to look for stampings on the back but I rather save myself a 30min drive. I have google imaged with no luck.

I would say no. It actually looks like a kobalt box. I have never seen a matco box that looks like that

Maybe if he hadn't "accidentally" cut out the sticker on the bottom drawer we would know a true maker. I'm ~99.99999% sure it is not a matco though. Craigslist is just getting ridiculous. It has the tell tale tack welds of a Kobalt. For $50 it might be a decent buy though.

My favorite is when a someone buys a HF red tool cart, peels off all the stickers slaps a snap on logo then lists it for 500

Seller just called me cheap after I declined to pick up the box and I told him why.

He was asking $85 but talked him down to $50.

You should have called him a dishonest sack of #$%^ Or tell him to prove it is a Matco and you will be happy to bring over $85.

The chewing gum holding the lock in place is off the Matco truck. Otherwise it's a Kobalt box, my old partner had that Kobalt stack.

Actually I think Upgrading is on to something. If you look close at the pics there are holes on the lid where the husky? badge should be. The square blocks for the strut mounts match. Also the drawer pulls are missing their end caps.
