Hello everyone I am looking for a new snap on tool box. I noticed that the williams 40" and 53" on snaponindustrialbrands website looks just like the heritage series snap on. Is it an exact copy minus the name and black trim?

Here's the catalog page 32- 33: http://www.bluetoad.com/publication/?i=130674

the price is a lot better to for the top: http://www.toolsource.com/drawer-chest-p-127305.html?osCsid=kjg38mddg3qiuu7br4ul407j61

and bottom roll cab: http://www.toolsource.com/drawer-roll-cabinet-p-127286.html?osCsid=kjg38mddg3qiuu7br4ul407j61

like 2500 total the snap on is like 3-3500. you guys tell me what you think

It could very well be the same OEM (a division of snapon canada or subbed out to someone like international/spg?); both williams/snapon are of the same company. I've noticed that many times that industrial boxes are of a lighter gauge steel and more "plain" looking and possibly things like the sliders maybe different but I could be wrong. I've noticed that the "snapon" industrial boxes that are sold to the military/gov't agencies look very similar if not essentially identical to the williams boxes. There is definitely going to be price differences; the industrial sector and the mechanic at a dealership are two different markets (pay as you go for snap-on and pay upfront for williams with large comanies or gov't agencies purchasing dept's dong the buying). Probably a call to williams or snapon; could probably verify if they are in fact essentially the same product.
Most of the lower line boxes are Made in Canada; I have always wondered who the oem was/is!

well only the professional series williams boxes look like snap on's the other series are re bagged SPG International's and I know this for a fact. I think I will call williams and ask them. But they do say made in usa just like the heritage series does on snap on's website. I do think that they are a direct copy at this point but I just want to know for sure!
