Is this a Weaver WA-75B

I am looking for a 6 ton plus jack and this came available about an hour away. The ad states Weaver WA-75b which is the 10 ton model. Physically it appears to be correct but instead of weavers standard green it’s red and black. Did anyone sell knock offs or is this a weaver that was painted red by the factory. Or could this be another manufacturers model. If it is would it still be a good purchase. $250

This one? Could be factory paint, then rebadged. Here's a link to Castle Equipment, scroll down and you'll see the 75B: http://www.castleequipment.com/Jacks/service_jacks_by_weaver.htm. Style-wise, it looks too old to be a knockoff - you could call Castle Equipment, they might know.

I do not have anything showing "75B". I do have a 1936 catalog ad for a model 75. I have NO clue whether or not this is the same.

If the seller will let you, lift your vehicle and see if it leaks down. If the seller's not amenable, jack it up a few inches and stand on the lift pad. And jack it up without a load to full height, then make sure it releases. Looks like it has a quick lift lever that you pump with your foot - make sure it works. If you can get a look at the rod for the ram, make sure it's nice and shiny, not rusty and pitted. And the casters look original - make sure they move smoothly; if not, that's a bargaining point.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the pedal on my 10t Weaver is a quick lift. It just makes it faster to pump than the long stroke of the handle.

Yes and no - thinking about it more, @whateg01 is probably right; it's not "quick lift" in the sense that there are two individual pump cylinders, but rather, the foot pedal actuates the same pump as the handle. Looking at the parts diagram would confirm that, but I think dual pump may be a relatively recent thing.

It gets the lift up to the point of heavy lifting quickly so you can then use the increased leverage of the handle--sounds "quick" to me.
