Is this a Wilton? I know it's at least 30 years old.

Looks like a Wilton Tradesman 5" jaws

Certain years of the 1740/50/60 were made in China, but yours does not look like one. From what I remember hearing, the made in China had the Pipe jaws as part of the jaw tower's casting. Yours looks like they are missing, meaning they are removable, so probably made in the US.

All the MFR's made vises without any names or markings for specific reasons (store/chain could label it a house brand), this looks like one of them

If you post this on the vise forum, many of the Wilton experts can give you better info.

Wilton Tradesman 1750, 5" jaws. Looks like someone put smooth jaws in there.

I have the exact same vise. I bought it new in 1992. Wilton Tradesman, Made in USA.

It's the same vise that Snap On sells in red for $450.
