The combo is listed locally for $100, thinking of taking a drive to check it out.

Theres a guy just posted a Craftsman version of that bottom box in vintage toolbox thread. Should be same construction and stout box. Its early to mid 60's box.

I think you're correct - although I'm not experienced enough to know for certain. $100 for the pair is on the high side of their value, imo. I would try making an offer of $60 and see if the seller will negotiate from there.

There was one like it on the Atlanta Craigslist a few weeks back. It was listed as a "Streamline". I called about it, it was already gone, but the seller said it was a Remline and somehow autocorrect changed it to Streamline on the ad. The pictures were very poor and it looked like the bottom door was missing. He wanted $80. I don't know the actual selling price.

Yes, your PowrKraft is a rebranded Remline. Montgomery Ward sold them in the 70s with some small variations.

On Remline branded boxes, the two digit year of manufacture is stamped inside the drawer behind the name badge. I'm unsure if the PowrKraft boxes kept with this marking policy.

None of my Powerkraft boxes have the date stamp, but are obviously AMDC/Remline.

I bought that bottom cabinet used in 1968 for either $35 or $50 from a co-worker. It wasGray and Tan, an older color combo.
