Well I think if you scratched or dented this one you would care lease (probable will at some point). You could also afford more tools to fill this one up. Not shire about the quality, look at Montezuma boxes they are good quality.

Some of those Asian toolboxes use sheet metal screws to mount the casters on. Somebody on here had a picture of the underneath side of an orange International box and that's what it had.

The new big Asian offerings are gaining a following around here. For home use, it would probably do a fine job. In a truck shop where the box logs as many miles as the truck, it just might not hold up. There is one very good reason to buy SO. Warranty and the conitnue support of a model after it is disconitnued. Watch CL and scan several areas, the 1022 comes up fairly often and one for $2000 is possible, and yes, it will still carry the warranty if bought used.

Ney, I think those Extreme tool boxes are Asian junk, I'd hold out for the Snap-On.

If I could get a *new* Snap-On box that size for anywhere near the same money, I"d be inclined to agree. But you can buy a small car for the price of some Snap-on boxes. Snap-On is quality but, IMHO extremely overpriced.

That's why you buy a used Snap-On box in great condition.

Take a look at the Lista specials on Motorhead Extraordinaire. I haven't seen one that big come up but might be worth giving them a call. A Lista is every bit as good as the SO and a lot cheaper, even new.

Are the Montezuma boxes made in China?

Yes... they come with a 5 year warranty. Like others have stated they are great for home use. There are some on here that use them professionally but don't know how much they move them around. I have one and have been very satisfied with it thus far.
