Is this broken LVP?

Is this broken VPL and what can be done if there are a few spots like this? They are the drop lock and were installed backwards. Think they were having to slide the next planks underneath and they hit em with a hammer but they're supposed to drop in on top.

VPL is something totally different ;)

Yes, the locking lip is damaged. Probably due to the subfloor beeing uneven, but could have been forced/flexed during install.

I have 1 or 2 like that you can see in the right light as I missed a lip on the plywood. Been several years, no change

Looks like the lip is damaged. Only way to fix it is undo the floor back to that area and replace that piece. It likely will be just fine like it is and last as long as you want that flooring in. LVP has gained popularity because it is easy to install, not too expensive, and easy to replace when you get tired of it. Kind of like why leasing a car is so popular, you get something new every few years.
