I was in the market for some new C-clamps, and knowing I only want USA made, I knew they would be used. I often don't have a lot of time to get to estate sales or yard sales, so I checked Ebay. I found a seller that had 6 of these Cincinnati tool 6 inch clamps. They are listed new/never used. I bought 2 of these. At $ 27.95 each, which includes shipping, I know that I didn't get a dynamite deal, and paid full retail. So I received the clamps, and they look to good to be true. They are clean and never been used. There is slight pitting on the handle, but that's it. You can still see the machining marks on the inside of the jaw. I know Cincinnati tool merged or was bought out by warren tool, but don't know when they stopped making these. I compared these clamps with some other ones on Ebay. I found the Hargrave logo on mine to be smaller and the Made In USA to be larger. And on the back side, the number abbreviation on mine hase a capital O, and others to be a small case O. I don't think anyone would accutally go to the trouble to fake these, but I have to wonder. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks. The top pictures is the one I bought, the bottom ones are another clamp on Ebay. The majority of the ones on Ebay look like the bottom pictures

Best bet in used C-clamps are forged, such as Williams, Armstrong, etc.
Iron clamps are not quite as strong.

What were you thinking??
You could have gotten all 6 for $100!!

Sellers just love to unload the whole lot at once.

Boy, those do look fresh out of the factory. Generally when the Chinee factories start spitting out clones of old American stuff they show up on ebay in droves, but looking at all the Cincinnati clamp listings I didn't see any more.

I have 15 of the small Cincinnati Super Jr. clamps I've picked up over the years for .50 or a buck. I love 'em. Use them for lots of things. They are very pricey on ebay right now.

That's what I mean, looks to good to be true. The lettering concerns me. I realize they probably changed through the years, but I have not seen another on with that style. Here's the link on Ebay
