this is my first post. i recently only discovered this forum

i am in the middle or towards teh end maybe of the construction of my garage.

it is a 40 x 26 x 12 ft stick built structure. the ceiling is actually around 13 ft floor to truss.

i told the builder i want it really bright. the inside will be drywalled with white walls. for lighting he has planned:

15 total fixtures, all 8 ft T8's.

this is two along each short wall, 3 on the back wall, then 4 rows of two, along the ceiling.

do you guys think this would be enough?

thanks!

That sounds very similar to mine (24x40 with 12' ceilings).
After much discussion here and many sketches of different layouts, my lighting plan now has 17 fixtures, each 8 feet long with 4ea. 4-foot T-8 bulbs. The three in the back corner are above a workbench area. The reason the main rows aren't closer to the right side is that there will be 3' deep pallet racking along that wall.
