Hello folks,
I have been endlessly waiting for the weather to clear-up so that I can put down epoxy in my garage. It's been a waiting game since almost a month. Who would have thought it could rain so badly in July of all months? Toronto summers especially July are pretty sunny and dry EXCEPT what's been this year.
So here is my situtation:
I have to install a topical moisture barrier, then a primer followed by two coats of epoxy and two coats of urethane topcoat. So I need at least 60 hours of application time (including drying time between the coats) and 4-5 days of curing time since it may take upto 7 days for the epoxy to fully cure.
Question to you all:
1) Do you think the following weather forecast should be a matter of concern for me? Or do you think I can squeeze some time?
2) Do you think it will affect epoxy installation and curing if it is raining outside? Is it safe or should be avoided? My garage doors don't leak so there is a very little chance of water seeping inside. However, I am concerened about humidity level and ground saturation due to rain. My garage floor has some inherent moisture which is why I am installing epoxy barrier.
I have spent too much time into this and feel like I must get this done and get on with my life. Truely frustrated.
