I picked this hammer up today at the flea market. for 5 bucks I figured why not but i do have some questions about it. Its a plumb head on what appears to be a craftsman handle. is this all original or is the handle a replacement? also, i know that logo is from the 50s so is this an old hammer or some kind of commerative item?

I'd guess it was a replacement head on a hammer with a busted handle. Whether the head itself is that old is anyone's guess, as someone could have had new old stock replacement handle for decades...

Need some hammer help then ask woody the man with hammers...

The hammer handle is a replacement someone bought a long time ago at a sears store.
Plumb original handles have a number stamped on the bottom of each handle.

Hope that helps you out!

Woody tip: If you are a collector be sure and find some old rags like a old tee shirt or dish towel etc. and soak it with some mineral oil, hosehold oil, sewing machine oil or non-detergent oil etc and twice a year rub down the hammers, they will last rust free for many years and they will develope a nice patina.

I don't know about the hammer, but I'm dying to get my hands on the Plomb wrenches you have for sale in the classified section.
I haven't gotten any reply from you on that.
