Is this normal for a matco wrench?

I can't seem to get a good photo of it...

I ran across a matco 5/8 wrench, that has a "line" in the open end side of it.

It looks like someone cut a line in it with a dremel.

But...it has chrome on it, so it' can't be where someone ground into it.

Just wondering before I put it on ebay.

If the beam is flat and only writing on front it's Bonney
You might want to take pics if it's altered it will be tough to warranty

It could just be a drag mark from the broach when the open end was cut.

Without pictures it's going to be hard to tell if this is a maker's mark (e.g. Bonney) or a glitch (drag from the broach cut).

That's what I'm thinking. I haven't seen any in person, but I've seen other non slip wrenches with just one notch on the open end (gearwrench comes to mind).

Definitely an anti-slip feature, seen them on GW wrenches.

The Armstrong wrenches have the same feature, and they are or were made at the same facility.
