I don't post much. Mostly read everyone else's discussions. But today I have a question. Local electrical contractor came out to quote a job for me. Newly installed deck adjoining the house. There is one recessed outlet on the house wall (30 years old.) Quote was to remove outlet and replace with GFCI outlet and bubble box. Then drop wire in flex line under deck 11 ft across to railing edge. Then run 10 ft along railing in each direction (22 ft total) and up the corner post 1 ft where a standard outdoor outlet will be installed on each post with a bubble box. So we are looking at #1 GFCI outlet with bubble box, #2 standard outlets with bubble boxes and 33 ft of wire in flex line installed. Total quoted is $857.00. Is this in line with todays prices that you guys are seeing. BTW I am in a small town in central GA and this is a local family owned but fairly large company.
