Is it worth it? Seller is asking $100.

Looks like a 4 inch Parker. Great old vise, looks to be in fine shape. I would pay $100.00 for that. But, I'm a sucker for these old tools and they don't show up often where I live. The consensus on this forum seems to be $1 dollar per pound and that is probably a 45-50 lbs vise. Does the stand come with it?

Nice Charles Parker vise. Has regular jaws and pipe jaws below. Definitely worth the $100 asking price but it's worth a try to get it for less.

$100? Hell no. Thats a 40-60 lb or $20-30 vise in the upper right quarter of this country and home built stands add maybe $5-10 to the value. Id be at $40 all in/max/want it/need it now.

That looks like a pretty serious stand. If I was selling that setup I wouldn't take less than $100. Although I wouldn't sell it if it was mine.

It's missing the captive wrench for the swivel base, but that's not a deal breaker.

I paid $45 for a similar Parker without a stand.

Get the model number off the side and that will end the discussion about how much it weighs and how wide are the jaws.

If that's how much vises around you are selling for you ought to grab them all and get to selling on ebay!

$100 is a pretty good deal for that, especially with the stand.

Should clean up nice but the jaw condition is the important thing. Can't really tell from the pic what condition they are in.

Don't listen to Justanengineer, he lives in Vise/tool nirvana...

I think that is a 4-1/2" maybe a 5" jaw vise. That pipe supporting it looks closer to 4" to my eye, (But I could be wrong...) and the ratio between the jaw height and width looks better than just 4"...

Worth $100? Sure, if you need a vise that size. (I don't and neither does Just an engineer so we can afford to be picky about what WE might spend, but if it WAS 5", I'd happily pay the $100 if that's what it took, and I don't need that vise...)

The stand is gravy and the only thing that doesn't look good to me on it is the base, as it doesn't look too thick... If it is, even better!

if that's a 5" jaw and comes with the stand I would try for 80 and if he says no just ante up the 100, done deal
