My KRL1033 isn’t level, has anyone ran into this? It’s tipped towards the wall so leaning back. I though it was the floor so I checked everything else around it and it’s all level. Even my pallet racking. I’d say front to back is probably 1/2” difference. I measured from the floor to the bottom of the box and it’s measuring the same as well. The box had never been hit or damaged. Just seems sort of odd. Or is the box built like that as a safety feature so the drawer always return to latched? I’ve never noticed it before but did when the top drawer closed the last several inches on its own. Side to side it’s level.

That does seem odd. My Matco roll cabs have always been level. The shop floors I've worked in mostly have not been. I've just used wood shims under the castors to help level out. It might be kind of a pain, but you could probably add metal shims above the castors in the rear to help level permanently?

I set mine to lean back slightly intentionally. There have been some boxes fall over forward in some shops I've worked in. It wouldn't surprise me if it is designed that way.

Are the wheels adjustable? Perhaps they could be leveled. I have two Grizzly H0837's (small 3-drawer chests) that I intentionally shimmed to lean backwards a little to make them more stable with drawers open. A slight rearwards lean isn't the worst thing in the world unless you have tools rolling away from you or absolutely need a level workspace on top.

Mine has shims under the front wheels so it leans back slightly for safety reasons otherwise it sits level ( older craftsman 40 inch wide top and bottom with the 40 inch wide single drawer add on in between )

I’m not sure I haven’t crawled under it yet and looked but it’s measuring the same on all 4 corners to show the bottom is level. And I agree it leaning back isn’t a Bad thing I’ve just never noticed it before til I got this new shop done.

Front with a level. Measured again and it’s close to level from the ground

I shimmed the front facing wheels on my box to tilt it back a few degrees. I find it makes the heavily loaded drawers easier to close, and also prevents them from drifting open if I choose not to latch them.
