Just finished installing my Daiken mini split and had a local Heat and Air company vacum lines down and get it going. It is working fine in AC mode but in heat mode it the fzn will never ramp up and start blowing even when manualy
Turned up. It hasa error code A5 which says could be clogged filter, leak, thermistor, ect.
Anyone had this issue?

I have had issues with 2, 4 yea old Daikins. I had the authorized Daikin tech here for the first one, he is a gas and go and of no use to me. Found a leaking evaporator coil on that one. The 2nd one is showing an L5 code. There is little help online, I am starting to suspect it is the mother board, but no way to test. There is little help online and I will throw the unit out and buy new before having a tech here again.

If you find anything useful on line let me know.

I bought mine on Amazon so i contacted the seller they have already got back with me and confirmed what i suspected either thermistor or PCB they said Daikin is having parts issues so they will probaly send a new unit.
I did some research before i bought mine and Daikin and Mitsubitshi were supposed to be the top brands im starting to wonder about the Daikins now.

The company I bought mine from is pretty solid in Tampa FL, bought online. I could have gotten my evaporator coil replace under warranty but had to have a authorized Daikin Tech certify it was bad. Daikin is charging $130 for a service call and the coil was $180. I will spend the extra $50 not to deal with a Daikin Tech again.

I'm still having problems getting a replacement or parts for my mini split. The seller put in a warranty request for a new indoor unit because he said they don't have parts and he should have a answer in a day. That was a week ago and now he says they never replied and he is trying to get the parts. He is a nice guy and seems to be trying to do something to resolve the problem but I'm getting frustrated I want to get it going for heat pump function.
Since I bought it on Amazon I don't know if I can request a refund and get something else or what to do.

I'm no help. When I recently ordered the evaporator coil the parts guy told me he has a hard time ordering anything from Daikin. It is not just Daikin. Went to the store and they were using fancy bags, I asked why and told that they cannot get regular bags. When I did my due diligence I found that one of the reasons Daikin is one of the top 3 is the thickness of the copper in the coils. Also when going through videos the professionals were installing Mitsubishi, Fujitsu and Daikin, which tells me a lot. Pre covid when, when I needed a replacement head it was not a problem getting one. Guess you could try returning.

Very frustrating.

Well the seller finally got the replacement controller from Daikin and sent it to me. I put it on yesterday and everything is up and running fine. Sure glad to get it resolved!

Now having another issue with mini split. The room temperature is always 15° warmer then the remote set temperature. In other words i set the temperature on the remote to 60° and it keeps the room at 75°.
I haven't found much online about this issue other than something about being able to calibrate the temperature sensors in the unit.
Anyone have any ideas?

Likely the remote does not have a thermometer and the ambient tempeture is senesed at the wall unit. For me this causes wide variation in what the remote is set at and what the temp at the wall unit is. Not ideal but I learned to live with it.

After finding little help with my L5 code I suspect but not sure it is the PC board. I have 2 9K units so switched PC boards, if the problem follows the board I nailed it. Bitter cold in Florida now (68) so may be a while before I get an answer. Still thinking about dual inverter window AC if this goes south.

Yeah I think I figured it out you have point the remote at the wall unit as your adjusting the temperature. I am going to check it out tomorrow.
I would loved to have 68° weather right now so I can epoxy my floor, but it is Kansas we could have 80° weather next week, lol
