Getting lots of scrap pieces of wood cluttered in the garage so I did a quick search and found a nice little cart to build while the family was at the pool.

How do you guys suggest anchoring deck posts? In the ground with concrete or use a footing/pier with a strongtie bracket into the wet concrete.

Brackets would be my first option - posts in concrete can rot.

Good thing you haven't built the deck yet. Woulda been crushed by the looks of it. Hope you get the house straightened out. Still crews and construction teams running around everywhere I go.
