I go into a liquidator to see what they have found now. They have Jet stubby combination set. for $28. I just bought a Williams set for $42, but to complete it I bought a Jet 19mm , a Gearwrench 16mm and a lucky fleamarket find Mastercraft set with a 11mm.My wife was with me and I pointed this out. Her response, this has happened to you before.

The Jet and Williams are the same quality, the Gearwrench and the Mastercraft are lesser.

Lol happens all the time, best thing is if you need the tool immediately don’t beat yourself up. But if it’s tools that can wait do more research and find out what works best and check prices until you find what you need.

Been there. I know it as the "Gotcha" paradox. You can look for something forever. As soon as you find it and jump all over it, you'll start to see better and/or cheaper ones coming out the wazoo.
