Yea, I know about the warranty issue. If any ever need to be replaced they will be SO or Matco. I couldn't resist getting a brand new set of tool truck quality wrenches at only a fraction of the cost...
The odds of breaking one are slim to none through normal use. Although eventually the open stock of US made pro wrenches will dry up or be placed on clearance, there's still an ample supply in my area on individual US made wrenches.
Besidses an Armstong wrench would match the rest of the set aside from the name.
I purchased two of the 9 piece sets, one standard and one metric, in my local Sears. I was also surprised at the amount of dust and dirt on the wrenches, even though they were in a glass case.
It is a very good wrench for the price.
There's still probably a half a dozen sets of the USA made professional wrenches between two stores in my local area. Neither gets much traffic in the tool department, so that's probably why they still have them.
I'd probably pick up a set if I hadn't made up my mind to get a set of Wright Grips.
