Are the ITC brand tools any good I have a chance to buy a used 21 piece 3/4 dr SAE set, and wondering if they were good tools, I only have the odd 1/2 dr socket like 31/32, or 29/32 and a 3/8 ratchet.

Jontar,

ITC Tools is owned by the Jet Group. They market it as a value-conscious professional tool brand. However, their offerings are made in China and India; and look homeowner grade.

I attached below a screenshot of the 3/4" drive, 21 piece SAE set from their 2015 promo circular. I think its 2015 price is in Canadian Dollars. Here is a link to a Canadian tool supplier that has this set in stock: LINK. It looks like from the enlarged picture that the sockets have offset corner engagement technology to prevent rounding corners. However, the case is cheaply made due to not incorporating plastic hinges in the design. After some time, the two case halves will break in the center and the top cover snaps will break off. If you can buy the used set for between 50% to 75% off from KMS' Canadian Dollars price, I would say buy it.

Good luck,

Dave
