Greetings,

I've watched many of the awesome projects on the site over the past few years. Lots of inspiration and great ideas people have provided on here. I finally decided to post pics of my garage I built over the last few years between deployments. Very slow going, doing the majority of work by myself. My friends and my father provided lots of the initial grunt work, honest opinions, and keeping me on task to get ur done. Still have a few small things to finish outside. So take a look.....

Paul

36' wide? how deep? 8x8, 8x10, and 8x8 doors... enough clearance inside to pull 3 cars in and have room to get around? When I draw up plans in my head for a barn I do it about the same way, but always wonder if 3 doors on a 36' wide structure is enough.

Really well done. Be sure to post up a ton of interior pics! Maybe even one of it fully loaded on the first floor if you can???

I will get some inside shots posted. Have to finish up the last of the wiring, insulation and then the sheet rock. It is 36x34 with 13' ceilings down stairs and 16x34 upstairs with 9' ceilings. Radiant heat floors and thinking about a pellet stove for upstairs. Bathroom downstairs (under the stairs). The state would only approve a half bathroom unless I wanted to install a completely separate septic system. Currently a BendPak 4 post and 2 post (middle bay). I just got the 2 post only have the columns up.

Forgot the doors, there are two 8x8 and one 8x9 with high lift tracks using Liftmaster 3800 jackshaft openers. These openers are awesome! I went with the 3 doors because I didn't want one door really wide. If I could have made the building a little wider I would have but had to get a zoning waiver for the side yard setback to begin with. This is still enough room to work around everything.

Nice! I've been seeing the progress for last couple years. I drive up that way a few times a week to get to work in Danbury. Glad to see it here.
