Finally decided to go full throttle on building a frankenstein box by combining my two waterloo 5 drawer towers together. Bought them for $40 last month and now being bored decided to combine them. I just used what I had at home piece of wood cut it to size and used screws that goes through wood, metal, stone...(?) from OSH. Total length 44.5"x12". 10 drawes, 2 sliding compartments. Total cost: $40+$40+$10(Washer/Screws)=$50. Could use heavy duty casters but itll work for now.

For the price, it's a good start.
I have one that's very similar in dimensions and configuration and it has served me fairly well. A couple things I don't like are the bottom most compartment (waste of space;rather have more drawers) and the friction slides that gain too much resistance from holding too much weight--not really an issue with the shallow drawers, though.

yeah definately a handle sooner or later. and a screwdriver rack in the back would be good. pretty much alot of options for add ons in the near future.
