Before I joined this site, I was perfectly fine with my taiwanese tools and considered Craftsman stuff a "pie in the sky" goal to reach for someday. Reading some threads, I saw mention of "SK". I'd never even heard of it.

But thanks to you turkeys, I got my hands on a little SK stuff and now I'm hooked (check the sig).

SK, it's like crack...

Any other drugs we can push on you just let us know. So far I've got three roll around tool boxes, HF Earthquake impact wrench, a couple compressors, a sandblast cabinet, HVLP spray guns and too many hand tools to list, ALL since I came here..."not that there's anything wrong with it...." ha ha.

GJ one of the few places where having a dozen 3/8 ratchets makes you feel deprived.

BTW some very sweet collections of SK on this forum.

SK is a gateway drug. Do NOT touch a dual 80. no matter what anyone says.

Man I agree...I'm certainly no "pro" when it comes to need for hand tools...simply a Weekend Warrior...

But, since joining this site, I have had to really curb my enthusiasm...my suggestion would be to focus on one brand for collecting.

I should really try to take my own advice. :bounce:

I always appreciated good quality tools. Joining Garage Journal just made me start taking more of an appreciation for old tools. I am now addicted to the hunt.

aww, but I want one!

Just don't say we didn't warn you. Your ratchet drawer will end up looking like this before you know it. And its probably mild by GJ standards. Pay no attention to the proto and corwell though. :)

Good thing I don't have a Porsche or BMW... otherwise I'd probably have to have some Hazet. :wtf:

As to the ratchet addiction... I'm already lusting after a couple more SK Palm Control ratts... snagged a 1/4" one a while back and it's sweet. Recently filled in some flex ratchet lusting thanks to the classified forum here (1/4", as well as 3/8" stubby and long).

Yep... thanks to this forum I just replaced my last Cman wrench with a Snappy... it's an 1 1/16... I have never used anything that big and probably never will... just couldn't stand the site of that big, ugly raised panel wrench in my Snap On wrench rack. Welcome to the sickness!

I just replaced my set of Ace wrenches, with some Flank Drive plus. I could have filled an entire toobox with that kind of money at harbor freight, but i already have all those tools... time to play with big boy toys. no more chinese junk.
