So after a long journey and much time and effort, I gotta say I'm pretty happy with the finished result!!

Thanks again to everyone who gave me a compliment and I hope you enjoy the pics!!

That looks great! I bet that thing is nearly as heavy as some of the metal ones!

Just curious through, what made you decide to paint it instead of possibly stain it?

Have you already got the whole thing filled? If so, lets see some pictures with the drawers open!

WOW. That is fantastic; something that I would be proud to have in my own garage. What did you use for slides?

Adam

I used 28" 100lbs rating ball bearing slides.

The only one I have to double up on is the 1/2" Drive drawer!! Let me tell you, that thing is heavy!!

Where did you find the ball bearing slides? How much were they? What was their original application?

I was thinking computer servers, etc. Something like that.

Lemme know,

Adam

If I were a shop instructor, I would grade you an A+++. One question, with the tools all loaded in, will it still ROLL? If not, and you remove two big hammers, will it roll?

The tool collection is just as impressive as the box!

84Turbo, did you, by chance, keep track of how much the materials cost for the box? I'd be awfully curious to know if you did.

Can you post some side angle pics of a drawer open, so we can see the slides?

And, of course...absolutely outstanding job! :pimpflash

Awesome job. That came out really great. If you don't mind my asking, about how much did it wind up costing (not counting the 6 months labor, of course, lol)? I'm guessing the biggest expense was the drawer slides.

Wow. This looks great! I built myself a bed a month ago and was looking for a new woodworking project to start on. I think I'll have to get to work on a workbench and toolbox combo. You've inspired me!

That is very nice. It has always been one of my ideas to have a nice big tool box like this so I do not have all of my tools crowded on top of each other. Nice work and it does look awesome. Now I have to go read your other thread to see how you did this.
