It's happening.... 36'x44'x12' with cost $$$

I've been planning on building this since we built our house 3 1/2 years ago.
Now I got the ball rolling, super excited. It's going up Tue.

I'm excited to see this go up as well. Thanks for sharing.

My new home/dream garage (notice my dream garage, and my mentioning dream home?) LOL.
It's on its final stages of permits, etc. I know how you must feel!

lol, this has turned out to be my dream home, at the cost of waiting for my dream garage. I was only after the dream garage part but my wife had different plans.

It will be well worth the 3 1/2 year wait and will probably end up nicer than it would have been if we tried to build it with the house.

I'll keep the pictures coming.

The guys that put it up did a really nice job. I am pretty impressed with the frameing. It looks way beefier than my nieghbors.

next on the agenda:
Get the concrete guy lined up.
Run lots of conduit from the garage to the shed and from the shed to the house.

Who built it for you?
I also like the color combo.

Thanks!
I went through Siwek Lumber out of Jordan, MN. They provided the material and subed out the labor to "Jason". :) That's about all I can tell you. Jason was great to work with and did a nice job. He builds a lot a sheds i guess.

I'm very happy with the color combo. It's always a little hard to figure it out when you're going off a very small sample and you already know they don't have anything that maches the house. The wainscoting is 48" high, compaired to all my neightbors who have 36" I think the 48" looks more proportional to the shed.

Bennie,
Do you have any close up photo of how Jason finished the bottom of the walls? Looks like he used some sort of flashing?

Thanks for all the compliments!

He did use some sort of flashing. I've been busy out there backfilling and getting ready for concrete. I'll try to snap some more pics in the next day or two and get them up here.

Well I just finished this floor so I couldn't tell you much about this one but I have used the same paint a few times. It's worked well so I keep using it. It's an epoxy and I make sure to prep good. It takes a beating. After seeing the fresh coat on the shed floor it makes me want to put a fresh coat in the garage too. :) The garage floor has held up well but it's got some stains on it and it's looking a little dull. Maybe a good winter project???

12/4 pitch
12'W x 10'T
I actually don't have any vapor barrier yet. What you see on the walls is house wrap. I'm not entirely sure if I will insulate the shed. I'll see how things go and if I do fine just using it as cold storage.

lol, those were the temporary lights before I got the T8's up.

The wrap is not required. I did it just in case I do decide to insulate and finish it later. It was a worthwhile $300 just in case.

Thanks Bret, please don't make me post any pics right now. :) it's been a little nagletced lately and it's at minimum really dirty. It's about 90% done. Need a little paint & body work. Looks stock except for shaved handles. '78 Olds 403 mildly built with Holley Pro-jection FI, '86 GN 200-4R tanny, 8.5" 4:10 posi, headers, dual exhaust with H pipe & stainless Borlas, electric cooling fans and so on.

I've got a bit of cleanup to do under the hood yet. :) It's running good but I need to get the tune dialed in. It's a bit complicated right now. It's a closed loop system and it idles and drive really nice down the road but when you get on it it bogs down. The holley is plugged in to a computer controlled distributor right now. My net step is to yank that and just try it with a vacuum advance one. I think that might be the issue. Anyways, I had this motor in my last Cadi (a little less built) and it was a blast! Not that it will be super fast but it will none the less be a sleeper. It's pretty quiet and it looks stock. If I ever get back to it I'll have to post some updated pics.

I got the final bill for the shed material & labor:

permit $1,100
excavating $2,800 (cash discount)
re-rod $860
concrete $3,040 (33 yards)
concrete labor $2,000
house wrap $270
drain/conduit/misc $300?
lights $0,000.00 (removed from a warehouse)

material & labor: $13,580.00 (I saved $400 by installing the overhead door)

TOTAL: $23,950.00

Of course I still have to wire it and I'm probably going to build a loft as well. All in all I'm very happy with that number.
