Ok,
It was time to build a little shed in the back yard to get all the gardening **** out of the garage so that i could comfortably fit my two VW's into one side of my garage.
In all it took me grand total of 6hrs to build the frame that it sits on, erect the shed itself and lay the flooring.
Next off i am going to run a mixed circuit into just to have a little light and power.

Site supervisor was making her rounds to ensure all was up to code.

I know it's not as big as some of the Garage-Ma-Hals but it serves a purpose.

I have an 8`X12`garden shed next to my garage. Lights and outlets and holds all my garden tools, lawnmower, winter tires, extra lumber. It and the garage were done by the previous owner but i see where we think along the same lines. The extra storage space is worth a lot more than the investment as your going to find out.

Built something close to this about 4 months ago... little 12x12 metal building. Used Plastic Pallets for the base since they won't ever rot on me and were cheaper then buying treated wood. My only complaint is that I didn't do this sooner, it is so nice to have the extra garage space and I like the idea that I no longer store gas cans in the garage where I am welding, grinding, and use to smoke.

Looks nice you should be very happy and will most likely wish you had another.... :)

Hope to be putting up a metal shed some time this year. Its getting old moving around bikes, ride-on toys, and lawn equipment to work on my garage.

Is that an arrow? How sturdy is it? I seen a lot of good and bad reviews out there so I haven't gotten one yet.

I had a 8x10 Arrow at my last house. Had it about 4 years and held up fine. Stood up to some 80mph winds in the summer and 12 inches of snow on top of it one winter.

She has held up pretty well considering that we were getting 80kmph winds today.
I went around and added some more rivets to provide a more solid structure (just in case).
Have already moved the shelves and filled it with all my **** from the garage.
In doing this i have created enough room to build a bench from where i took all the **** from.
Jabberwoki in am in Nowra on the NSW south coast, i am a sunshine coast (QLD) local but a career in the Army brought me south.

Good job on the garden shed, especially the shelves.

I desperately need to do the same thing just to remove the mower, rakes, shovels, whippersnipper, electric hedger...........the list goes on and on out of my garage.

The wife almost backed over the whippersnipper tonight reversing in. I can't complain as every night she backs her car under my hoist!

It's almost like she can drive:shocking:

Top job:), another quality Aussie shed!! I really like the flooring idea as it keeps every thing up off the ground. Its amazing just how much space all the sundry garden stuff takes up. I built one a few years back adjacent to my shed out of bits and pieces my son and I had laying around (except the roller door and flashings).
The best thing since sliced bread!!
Specs as follows;
3 mt W x 2.5 mt D x 2.8 mt. H
50 x 50 x SHS frame.
Colourbond Trimdeck cladding.
R3.5 insulating blanket below the roof sheeting to keep the condensation out.
2 bays of Brownbuilt shelving for the small stuff that is stored in plastic tubs.
Rack Attack wall bracket and basket system for hanging things like shovels, rakes, brooms, edger, blower, trimmers etc.
