It's raining Snap-on / Mac tool boxes

I have been looking for a side box for my taco cart for almost 2 years. I finally found a KR-289 that looked brand new on eBay, and the seller was local to me. We negotiated, and I ended up paying $310.



It turns out he had 2 of them hung on either side of a Mac 910/920 stack. The Mac set was beautiful and also looked like new. He wanted $1050 for the remaining three boxes, so I took pics and sent to some friends.

2 weeks later, he texts me and offers me the three for $850, and says he's moving and needs them gone. I have no need for the boxes other than garage art, so tell him I wouldn't go over $600 even though I agree they're probably "worth" more.

The next morning he texts me and we have a deal.

From 12" away, the boxes all look like they just came off the tool truck. I have no need or use for the boxes right now, but I don't think I'll ever again see a set in condition this nice.

I should sell or give them to someone, but not sure I can let them go!



Ironically, I just unloaded a more beat up MB910 that I had on my taco cart, before getting the KR-650.

Guess it's time to buy more tools!

Damn bud, that's a smoking deal. I'd luv to have that set up with all the skinny drawers for my machinest tools. If you happen to be on the west coast and your serious about selling and would like to make a few bucks for your efforts, please let me know.

LOL, no. It's going back on the 910/920 stack after I pull off the side handle.

It's a Mac box with a Matco sticker and a Snap-On side cabinet. But it's a beautiful box. Good deal. I'm sure you can find some tools to put in it. The more room for tools, the better organized they can be.

Well, in all fairness, Matco built the box for Mac, so...

That Mac bottom box is the same as mine! I love it! The only thing that irks me sometimes is the drawer dividers.

I echo this statement. I would have to say also that your whole collection of boxes is in such great condition. You can tell that you're a discriminating buyer.
