I love my plasma cutter. 50A, I've hand cut 3/4" with a fence. I've also thrown a 40T carbide on my M18 circular saw to cut through angle iron a few times when the plasma wasn't convenient.

I was preparing to make the long drive to Springfield to get a Grizzly G9742 but the reviews are just atrocious.

Instead, I will order a Fein Slugger here in a few days and wait until I have the room for an Ellis or some old iron horizontal band saw.

How many is a lot? And once your do e with all those, how many more will you do in the future. If it's less than 100 or so, **** it up and use whatever you have. Make some wooden jigs to hold things, etc.

But a bandsaw isn't a bad idea. The typical horizontal bandsaw can turn vertical too which comes in handy.
