Here so you guys can see some small ones. The front tap is s 0-80. The tiny die handle those two middle holes are threaded assuming 0-80 as well. So that little die handle has 4 sizes to it. Other tap handle has a 4-40.
Very nice set of taps and dies you got there I really love the wooden box. I missed out on a set near me in a nice wooden box.

This set belonged to my dad, it is now in my tool cabinet. Has to be at least 70 years old. The only markings on the pieces is a logo with the letters GTD.

Update: Had some time to research. GTD is Greenfield Tap and Die, Greenfield, MA. Founded 1912.

The die wrench is not original being hex shaped and will need a circular version to grip the dies, maybe was broken or lost?

Look at the label on the box, suspect it is original. I think it's the way the pic is taken, but looks like the dies are hex.

This. A bevel ground into the edge will make the surface look round even though the dies are actually hex.

Here are my itty bitty ones.... The newer ones are the size used for bicycle spokes....helped the kid make a custom wheel for one of his trick bikes while in high school...

I found some 'little itty bitty' ones in an old tobacco tin. The largest is 1/4" whitworth so quite useful but the tiny one is so small I can't even see the threads on it.. Maybe used for those irritating little screws that come loose on spectacles?

I have a few small ones I got in a batch a week or two ago which are awkward to see the threads on, and impossible to read the size etching on. Much preferred it when sizes were stamped rather than etched. Even on some of the larger ones, reading the etched sizes is problematic. On the plus side, my collection of taps, dies & handles has improved notably. Metric, BSW, BSP, BSF etc. I'm sure I even caught sight of some BSC in there too. All currently going through the process of being degunked, derusted & oiled. All so far seem in decent condition once all of the crud, swarf & rust are removed.
