How so? CFLs of the same lumens would be considerably cheaper.

Sure, it is slightly less efficient than LED, but those LEDs will burn out long before you see your money back. If you use T8s, T5s or metal halide, LEDs are not more efficient at all!
You could even mount the CFLs in a fixture like this and still spend significantly less money:

You could also use a T5 fluorescent fixture like this:

And get 20,000 lumens for $69.97. That is 92 lumens per watt, or more efficient than the quoted number for your LEDs!

Good modern fixtures warm up pretty quick and give you 36,000 lumens for about $150 at the same efficiency as LED. They are still hard to beat if you have tall ceilings.
They have a ballast just like anything else. LEDs do not run from 120v AC.
LEDs are interesting but let's not make up facts.

We had a slew of Chinese made drivers fail in a retrofit job we did.
The owner purchased the fixtures to replace 400w MH highbays.
He is not too happy with the result.
On the other hand I have had good results with the RAB units.
Hope it works out . Would like to see it all lit up.

My local supply house had a bunch of similar fixture on their clearance shelf.
Is it common knowledge here to mount LED's with the electronics higher than the diode?
Opposite of CFL's.

I have never heard that before, nor does it make even a little bit of sense. You do want to mount the driver as close to the diode as possible though.
I'd like to see the link though.
And for what it's worth, just because it comes out of China does not mean it is junk, some really high end stuff comes out of china and no one says anything about it, just have to watch. I install lots of LED, and have used Canadian, American, Chinese, and Mexican versions of the same lights, and visually I can't really tell them apart, but the Chinese ones are the ones I have had the least problems with. And the American ones are the worst.

LEDs are most certainly something to discuss here. Anybody tries to discuss it with you, you post another made up fact an then run away. Sorry if I don't like people spreading misinformation.

The other one is an old RLM I reworked and am using a CFL in it. Just a test at this point
