Ivy Classics popped up in my search for a good cheap ratcheting screwdriver, seems like they make some good stuff, seems like at least some are made in the USA like saw blades, but the rest isn't clear to me.

Anybody have some comments on them?

I have a couple of clear yellow handled screwdrivers. They are older, 70's 80's maybe?? Some are marked "Ivy Tools Co.USA" and others marked " Ivy Tools GS" I picked them up at a estate sale. They are nice.. Well made stuff!! I have often wondered about them. I tried researching them and have not found much..

You brought this up in the ratcheting screwdriver thread.

AFAIK, the current Ivy Classic line is Taiwan sourced. Or at least those that I have seen.

The Ivy Classic ratcheting screwdriver is the same as the current MAC offfering (yes, I've done the side by side) and is very capable for the $20 USD they go for , for the Ivy Classic.

I have the Taiwanese made Ivy Classic ratcheting screwdriver and love it. Not the same as S-O but , obviously , same as MAC.

At $20 well worth the price. I'll ask if my local supplier can order one in for you where I bought the one I have.

Has knurled shaft like S-O and the rest is a MAC clone. Win-win.

The gold collar I cut off as it is a fluff piece and reveals the std. magnet in the shaft like every other pro driver.

Hidden gem.
