I have an old J.C.Penny, 1,1/4ton floor jack. It is black and made in Japan. The handle reciever is broken and I I just can't bring myself to throw it away. It is an old jack but was serving me very well when it broke. I'm just wondering if someone out there might have one of these older jacks that they might sell for parts. Thanks.

Pacecar: Any progress on this one?

I'm trying to help a buddy get his Penney's jack going again. 1 1/2 tons .. retail number 2015 ... catalog number 986-8274. There's some numbers in the casting (HS77.4 and M150M) and I've included a photo of a page from the parts list to show number format. If any one has any info (service manual? Is there such a thing?) it would be appreciated.

What has me flummoxed is the piston assembly doesn't hold pressure. We've had it nearly all apart and cleaned, but it still fails. The only (logical) thing left would be piston blow-by, but there's no fluid leaking out.

Having issues posting photos right now .... arrgh.
