i haven't tried them but i'd sure like to. i had pretty much given up on being able to find a domestically made C-clamp. pricey though, especially if you figure retail is usually twice wholesale.

I have a couple dozen of them mostly 6'' and 8''. The older ones say WILLIAMS and the newer ones are the J. H. Williams. Mine are heavy duty and have had them at least 25years.

He's looking at new, owned by SO, "Williams" clamps.

Interesting to see theyre supposedly made in the US now, Ive got a couple pairs that were ebay bought Xmas gifts from relatives a few (maybe 5?) years ago, all made in China. I use them for wood clamps and other "light" use. My vintage JH Williams clamps OTOH are dam nice.

Bumping an old thread because I believe this information is incorrect. In my opinion, the older clamps are "J. H. Williams & Co." whereas the new ones are "Williams". Wanted to correct this for anyone doing research.
