I'm wondering if anyone knows which specific style of wrenches I should be looking for? The links below are the catalog I found as well as the alloy artifacts page I found. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The 11XX series were double open end (DOE) and double box end (DBE) ignition wrenches.
The DOEs were 15* angle x 75* angle configuration, both ends having the same milled opening. The NM-8 set included every wrench between 3/16" (1112) and 1/2" (1132). The sizes are all listed on the catalog page you referenced. Look up examples by the model numbers in AA.
They were marked with a < W > on one head, with the model number (e.g., 1112) on the other head, and THE "SUPERRENCH" on the shank. On the flip side, the size will be marked on the head, and 'ALLOY' on the shank. If it's marked 'CHROME MOLYBDENUM' or 'CHROME ALLOY', it's too early for your set (late 1930's, 1940, and 1941). If it's marked 'ALLOY' with a 'V' but it's not chrome plated (shiny), but dark natural steel instead, it's also too early. Those wrenches would go in the pre-war or wartime version of the post-war NM-8 (set No. 1292PR). You want chrome-plated tools for the NM-8.
NM-8 also had four (4) DBE wrenches, 1150 through 1153. These were 45* double offsets with a different 6-point box opening on each end. The sizes are listed on the catalog page you referenced. The < W >, "SUPERRENCH", and ALLOY will be on the shank, and the sizes will flank the model number on the flip side shank. Same as above. Chrome-plated. If it's ALLOY and not chrome-pated, it went in the pre-war or wartime set.
