I have had a lot of problems figuring out how to introduce myself on this site, I wish there was an icon that said introduce yourself?, water under the bridge... Hello everyone, my name is Jack & I live in Sherwood Park, Alberta on a 3.8 acre parcel of land, been here for 22 yrs with my wonderful 2nd wife, we have 7 children all grown up now and so far 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 9 to 23 yrs old, we also bought a 1 acre lake lot about 16 yrs ago & had a log cabin moved onto it & we have been in the process of renovating and adding on to it for 2 yrs. My wife Holly still has the same job (41 yrs) since she got out of University & all she had to do is walk down the hall to her job & is still there today! I, on the other hand, had varied careers & was always self employed except the first 6 yrs when I worked as a welder for my father's business, then I had a welding/radiator shop in a different town for 8 yrs, then moved to Edmonton (home of the Oilers), sold life insurance for about 7 yrs. got tired of that & went into construction first doing finish carpentry, then home renos, then commercial renos. Then had a 2 yr health issue that physically forced me to quit that, so I got into brokering freight to & from Can. & the USA with a couple of relatives until the oldest wanted to retire, so it was decided that the younger cousin would buy the business, so I was now unemployed, so after one summer off, one of our sons offered me a winter job servicing & repairing gas fireplaces, so after much learning, I did this for 3 winters & really loved it, until the Alberta economy crashed about 3 yrs. ago, so now after 3 more years I'm now employed by my wife Holly and the sole renovator/worker of our cabin reno & between mowing at home (2 1/2) acres & 1 acre at the lake I have never worked so hard in my life. Plus she doesn't pay me, but she does spoil me! So that's my intro Mr moderator... I do have a couple of questions I want to put in the forum, but I couldn't figure it out earlier, I'll have another stab at it in the morning. It's 1 AM here, goodnight ...
