bagged - I don't know the value of that machine, but I sure would like to own it! I've been looking for that type. If you end up getting it, and are looking to flip, let me know. I'm right up the road!

Dave, I will keep you in mind if I get it and decide to sell or trade it. What I really want is one this size but with a wider belt. This one just seems interesting.
I don't think that sander was made by J&H. Just as Kalamazoo sources their motors from Baldor, it looks like a sander maker employed a J&H motor for their machine.
You can't tell much more from that pic, but a working 1" belt sander is probably worth $50-75.
In addition to a wider belt, look for a faster motor. 3450 rpm with a drive wheel of 5-6" diameter is ideal for working with metal.
