OK, yeah I am a newbie, so "HELLO" everyone :bounce: I have had this floor jack since the mid eighties, and I got it when it fell off a truck, so I do not know who or what model it is. I would like to rebuild it if possible :headscrat I have done some snoopin and the best I can figure is it may be an early StrongArm around 2-1/2 ton. Any information about this jack and a source for parts would be great, also any advice on the rebuild.

Here is a Tutorial i put together.. Generally depending on your Area you can find the Seals at your local hydraulic Shop, I also keep these parts in stock and only need a few measurements to get you back on your way.

Note... That Tutorial is for General Reference, It wont match your jack 100% but will give you a good starting Point.

Thanks Hiball, your tutorial will be helpfull. I normally would not put any effort into an import, but I did find it on the side of the road. Do you have any idea how I would expose the shaft, it appears the cylinder is welded to the valve and no nut at the top. (or is thing worth the effort at all ?) I will tear into this thing this weekend and if successful what measurements would you require?

IRC, Judging by your pictures.. Yes your Reservoir/Bottle is Welded to the Unit versus the more common type that is held in place with a tank nut. There should be a big C-clip/Snap Ring in the end that once you remove will allow you access to the Piston and the Seal. As far as Measurements...

Orings... Measure the Hard part that the Oring actually Seals, Then measure the Cross Section of the Oring (thickness) and this will get you where you need to be.

Main Ram seal.. I will need to know the type and then need the cylinder Bore, the Id (Which can be taken off the actual Piston and then the Height of the Seal. Any Questions? Send me a PM as i dont always get around to catching all the Posts.
