Hello folks.
I bought a used floor jack yesterday after my mighty 2.5 ton mastercraft jack
failed to lift a 30' RV ( gee I wonder why ? lol )
the little guy did well, and still works ok, but after it tipped over on a job a few weeks ago,
it got pretty bent out of shape. Had to take it apart and hammer it back together
straight, but it just won't do for my new shop so I bought a good used one.

I am hoping some of you here can help me identify it, brand and model,
and lift capacity. the decal is worn off, and can't be read.
But it's at least a 3 ton if not bigger, I can barely lift the darn thing.
It's got to be the toughest biggest rollor floor jack I've seen,
it's very well made. could even be 5 ton for all I know, it's very big,
and very strong. It's bigger than it looks in the photos, it makes my
2.5 ton mastercraft jack look like a toy.

There is only a serial number on the side,
the rest of the info was on the decal that is worn off.
But I am SURE I got a killer deal for $100 CDN for this beast.
I have attached photos.

If any of you can help me ID this bad boy, I would really appreciate it.
It works 100% but might need parts in the future,
and I would just like to know what brand it is so I can learn more about it,
and maybe find out what a new one is worth.
I'm sure I got a good deal, but I would like to know.

Anyone ? Thanks in advance !

It's a run of the mill twin pump import, Who knows what brand it was sold under, definitely not rated for 5 tons.

The man knows jacks!

Looks like a Harbor Freight 4 ton:

$129.99 - 20% coupon = $103.99 new.

(sorry for the big pic, but it shows the side details well)

hey, thanks for the info L. cheapo.
I think you're right. it's a dead match except the color and rubber pad mine has.
4 ton sounds about right, it has to be more than 3. it makes my 2.5 ton look like a toy.
the photos are big, so it doesn't really show how big and wide this jack is. it's very heavy too.
that price you mention, is that USD ?
I'm in Canada and right now our dollar is lower, so I'm pretty sure $100 CDN cash
no tax for this used jack was a pretty good deal. I'm happy with it.
Anything at my local auto supply stores around here is about $350 for 2.5 ton, $450 and up for 4 ton, $500 and up for 5 ton, and into the thousands from there.
Of course there is the cheap stuff on ebay etc. but this one is a beast, so I'm sure
it will lift my trucks for years. It lifted the rear of this 30' RV I'm working on no problem.
my 2.5 ton didn't even try, and I'm sure if it did lift it, it would have folded in half.
I've never heard of harbor freight or Pittsburgh line of products, but I'll check them out.

Thanks again for the info.

:)

The color is different, the top edges are tappered a bit different, and the main pivot on mine has a nut on the end instead of a pressed in pin, but definately the closest I've seen so far. I'm willing to bet mine is more than 5 years old, so that could be the difference too.
