Found this thing by a trash can. It still functions great! I picked up the whole rear-end of my 05 Grand Cherokee and it never moved. I want to do a full restore but can't identify the thing, so I can't order the parts. Hopefully it won't be a discontinued issue. Hopefully you folks can help me out. TIA

I agree with oil leak. Originally a Japan design, copied by Taiwan, then copied by China. Almost every brand has their own variation(s). They look fairly similar on the outside, with variable components on the inside. With so many different variations, you’d likely have to open it up and measure components individually.

But then if it works, why not just clean it up and use it? Jacks of that design are not collectors items.

I have a 30 year old Sears Craftsman 3 ton jack that looks pretty much just like that one, except mine still has most of the gray paint still on it. I think the others are correct about this kind of jack being a generic shape and style. Here is a picture of mine. I swapped out the round standard metal saddle for a flatter, rubber covered one. That looks like my old sears jack, with the curve on the frame at back.

It was a 3 ton Sears model 214.50115
