Jack,

I just picked up this new vintage nine shelf locker, the former owner believes it was from the 1940`s. Great patina, door and latch works great.....missing the key. I`m thinking on removing the legs to give it a sleeker look, or incasing and hiding the legs. What do you think?

I have a set of 3 of those same lockers, in way worse shape. I would keep those legs, they make them look a lot cooler. If you dont keep them PM me and I will buy them.

Ditch the legs...they look terrible. Drop them in a box and ship them to me for proper disposal. :)

Cool cabinet.....Since it's a single cabinet I'd probably keep the legs. If you had two or three of them to be all lined up I'd probably take the legs off.

Has Jack become the Martha Stewart of the garage?
Can a special on Lifetime be far behind?

Just a little poke Jack. You obviously are inspiring others

I read the title as "Bree Olsen..... " :D

But this is still pretty cool. I'm a sucker for vintage anything, and that's about as good as it gets, minus those huge old steel desks..

Lotto time!

That's a very cool cabinet.

I think the legs stand out more when it's sitting out of context. In the shop, they'll probably look more 'right.' But it looks like you can unscrew them?

Ha ha I just saw that locker on craigslist and kept wondering if the guy was asking too much. Also had the thought that what North siders call "patina" South siders recognize as rust.

keep the legs. easier to clean the dust/dirt that always seems to find its way under the bench/cabinets/whatever.

The legs are cool I would keep them if it was mine. Use something to kill that rust and give it a nice paint job , hammertone silver or black might work well. Nice score!
