About 2 years ago, I picked up a Lincoln G9715 2TON Jack on craigslist and got some help identifying the correct rebuild kit (1038 since the power unit is a 69715) to order via this thread (thread_url)

I started the tear down this weekend. Ram nut and ram have been removed, and noticed a nice build up of dirt inside. Need some advice on the best way to remove the Oil Tank.

Thanks,
KR

Good for you. I assume you are referring removing the ram nut with oil filter wrench. Would you mind to post a picture of the oil filter remover? Ibam quite interested in it. The ram nut is usually so tight you must have got a hack of a oil filter remover.

For the ram nut I used an impact wrench for the oil tank cylinder that is where I used an oil filter wrench.

Small three finger drum brake cylinder hone works well for the pressure tube. As you brake the glase on the tube wall look for any minor pitting in the tube wall.
