Jack Stands: Hein-Werner v US Jack?

Looking to upgrade my jack stands to something with greater lift height.

I'm debating the merits of the:

1) Hein Werner 6 ton $91 at tooltopia, free shipping
2) US Jack 6 ton $126 plus $41 shipping direct from US jack

The US Jack is rated per stand, so it is actually double capacity. Plus, the double pawl on the ratchet bar seems like a good idea. Are those features worth the extra $$$? I only really foresee putting up a 3 ton car max on these stands, so I won't come close to using the load capacity, it's the lift height I want mostly. Both of these are about 16-25" lift heights.

I returned my US jack units and built my own.

just a note here, first my stands don't look like his. Second, there have been numerous threads here about the quality of the welds on the HW stands as well. None of these threads have gone anywhere beyond people complaining about the cosmetics of the weld.

Also 120+ 41shipping seems high to me from memory. I think I paid around 200 shipped for 2 pair direct from USJack. Not sure how US Jack really works but seemingly a few times a year they run a discount when they have an overstock.

There is a west coast supplier for USjack as well that might help if the shipping charges direct from the manufacturer are firm.

Thank you, jackxchange has US Jack shipping, tax, and stands for about $110. Price wise, they're now competitive.

I don't know anything about the double pawl - is it exactly that? A backup pawl, or is the weight distributed between the 2 pawls, thus the reason the stand is "double capacity"?
